Ahu Moana is coming to Oruawharo Bay! If you missed your chance to see Glenn's presentation at last year's Ecology Festival this is your chance to catch him talking about the Ahu Moana surveys. Glenn Edney is an Ocean ecologist, underwater naturalist, professional diver, photographer and skipper. He has been exploring the Ocean and interacting with Ocean life for more than 30 years. He is a Deep Ecology Practitioner and holds a Masters degree in Holistic Science from Schumacher College and Plymouth University. His ongoing research is focused on understanding the Ocean as a living being and the role she plays as the primary life support system for our planet. He also has a strong interest in bringing together traditional indigenous Ocean knowledge and modern scientific ecological understanding. He is the author of three books and numerous articles and papers on Ocean related topics. Glenn’s unique perspective offers a new vision for our relationship with the living Ocean and for recognition of the Ocean as a living being with intrinsic value far beyond the benefits she provides humanity. Glenn has a gentle, holistic approach to understanding the moana and he is going to share some of his wisdom with us here in Medlands.
